Aussie-Osities explores the emergence of a popular culture in Australia. In the years leading up to Federation a desire for a material identity began to emerge, and Lindesay examines the ‘tangible expressions of this patriotic urge as it was manifested in our buildings, in our homes, hobbies and applied art’.
