Alison Forbes was a book designer for the duration of her much-decorated career. Afternoon Light, the first volume of former Prime Minister Sir Robert Menzies’ memoirs, was first published in 1967. Forbes cropped a photograph of Menzies tightly, highlighting his characteristically hirsuit eyebrows.
